Event Overview
Missouri has made literacy a growing priority, with new investments, instructional initiatives and partnerships designed to strengthen reading outcomes for students across the state. As this work continues, education leaders, policymakers and community partners need a clear understanding of what is happening now and what may come next.
Join Aligned for Turning the Page: Literacy in Missouri, a one-hour webinar examining the current state of literacy policy and implementation across Missouri. Our speakers will discuss statewide literacy efforts, the work taking place within schools and communities and the opportunities that remain to ensure more students become confident, successful readers.
The conversation will feature Heather Knight, Coordinator of Literacy with the Office of Literacy, and Angelique Nedved, Executive Director of Smart Schools KC. Together, they will share perspectives on Missouri’s progress, implementation challenges and the policies and partnerships that can support stronger literacy outcomes.
The webinar will conclude with a moderated question-and-answer session.
